Aaron Oehlstrom is on a mission.
The 27-year-old from Olmsted Falls has been pulling history out of the ground since he was a kid — a metal detector in hand, his eyes fixed on whatever the earth might be hiding beneath the surface. Silver bars, coins from the 1800s, fossils, belt buckles — each find is a clue, and Aaron wants to know the story behind every single one.
“I actually learned about the history of Captain William Kidd,” Aaron said. “His treasures went missing, so I just want to find it.”
It’s that same relentless curiosity that defines everything Aaron does — from the field to the doggy daycare where he works, to the independence he is actively chasing for his future.
